Tai Chi for Health
Tai Chi is a graceful form of exercise that involves a series of slow movements and deep breathing. It is a low impact exercise requiring no special equipment. It can be practiced indoors or outdoors, either alone or in a group. Tai Chi for arthritis is the style recommended for fall prevention—it has been proven to reduce falls by 47%. The class will be taught virtually by an occupational therapist and physical therapist certified in this program.
The benefits of Tai Chi are many, including improved balance, increased leg strength, reduction in fear of falling, improved mobility, increased flexibility, and improved psychological health.
